In exactly 4 days The Atlanta Braves will break in their new home at SunTrust Park in Cobb County. Recently relocating from their long-standing downtown home at Turner Field, the Braves have simultaneously built and integrated a state-of-the-art Major League Baseball ballpark with a multi-use development and community. 
According to Beacham & Company Realtors the multi-use development will inlcude:
- 750,000 square feet of multifamily residential space 500,000 square feet of retail space
- 630,000 square feet of office space
- 450,000 square feet of hotel space
- 100,000 square feet reserved for miscellaneous use
Along with a new field comes new parking spaces, and we are not talking just a few. While parking was quite an issue during their time at Turner Field, guests will notice a drastic change. SunTrust Park is expected to have 6,000 parking spaces in addition to the existing parking lots in the Galleria area.
The Battery Atlanta
SunTrust Park will not only host ballgames, but also an entertainment district known as The Battery Atlanta, which will surround the ballpark. The massive development will include live entertainment, lodging, offices, and new job opportunities.
Thousands of new positions have been created in order to help support the local economy. During the construction of the stadium, there have been more than 5,227 jobs created, with a payroll of more than $235 million, according to the Atlanta Sports Council. The new stadium employees will also be looking for housing — increasing occupancy rates — and workers and visitors will help increase retail sales and traffic.
